We babysat the girls tonight. Took this about 5 seconds before Norah said "Enough I am tired" and promptly fell asleep in Grandpa's arms. (for about 15 minutes) We wore them out. They should sleep well tonight.

I went to the zoo with the girls today. Miss Eva was more interested in jumping off rocks and collecting rocks then any of the animals but she seemed to have a fun time and walked for well over an hour. Miss Norah slept.

I am loving all her wonderful expressions. As we were walking along hand in hand I heard this small little voice singing "ah, ah, ah, ah,  lets go fly a kite" ...... although the words were not quite so discernible I knew exactly what she was singing. She quite loves Mary Poppins these days.


Today was also the day we officially turned Eva's car seat to face forward which Miss Eva thought was just very cool! Big grins and wide eyes all the way to the zoo. (slept all the way home from the zoo)

Got up at 3 am for this shot.....
We are in Victoria.
"A man plans his ways but the Lord determines his steps". This has come to mind several times today as plans for the great grandchildren to finally meet Oldemar (Norwegion for great grandmother) and their new cousin Jane, were squashed by a flu bug Eva picked up earlier this week. Allison phoned at 3am this morning to say that Eva was still throwing up so we cancelled her 5:30 am ticket. So sad and so disappointing. The house we rented here is perfect for the gang. Oldemar (who is 86) has the fridge stocked with food and of course is very disappointed too. But such is life with little ones. Not sure when we will have opportunity to rearrange this.  So there you have it - the best laid plans were not meant to be. Eva needs to be at home for the next few days to recover and prevent any more spreading.

So it was quiet in the Calgary airport waiting for our connecting flight and watching the sun come up.

It was a one shot day. Neither of the girls were in any mood to sit for photos while I was there. They both napped about 5 minutes after this shot. Babies are much better photographed after naps. Norah would have a huge smile on her face - but I wasn't there post nap and you have seen every flower in my garden. My creativity is a little zapped these days. Happens for about 1 week after a wedding. :)

She is still adorable and very kissable though. :)

Well after 365 + 365 + 231 days I have broken the rules and I am NOT taking a photo today. I took over 1000 incredible shots yesterday and that is enough for me. I just did not want to pick the camera up tonight. My sweetheart said "so just post another photo from yesterday"

Well just north of Springside actually but yes! Celeste and Fred were married today. The ceremony was beautiful and fun just like them. They were surrounded by many friends who love them dearly.
Mark and I took a lot of photos around the ranch today - stay tuned. We got some pretty WOW photos of Fred and Celeste.

It has been years since I made a pie. Today I made a blueberry pie to go with the roast chicken for supper. Another Pioneer Woman inspiration. I could gain a LOT of weight being here in Yorkton.
The plan was to have the pie for when Mark arrives on Friday but I don't think it will last that long. I plan to have a piece for breakfast tomorrow too.... after my walk that I should be taking every morning.

I ran away to... Yorkton. It's been a few months since I had a week in Yorkton with my love. I get to work on photos and sleep and read - love it - and prepare wonderful meals for my sweetheart... which is what I am doing just now. :) He has to work.

Tiffany Paulsen - Elected to Saskatoon City Council in 2000 and has held this position since then. She is seeking re-election this fall. Tiffany is also a partner in the law firm Robertson Stromberg Pedersen LLP. That is a pretty impressive resume for this young mother. Enjoyed meeting Tiffany and her delightful family today.  I have some pretty sweet photos of her one year old but I will stick with the corporate photo for the 365.

Grandpa set the sprinkler up today. Eva had a blast. Norah got her feet wet.

Babysat the girls today. Eva managed to find some of my hand lotion. I guess she figured the best place to get into it was on the chair behind the buffet. This would give her a few minutes before grandma discovered what she was up to . :)

One of the many things I love about being a photographer is getting to know so many interesting people. Today I was able to ride out into a farmers field and not only get my shot of Canola, but photograph sweet little Aleina, who turns 3 tomorrow, and her daddy who is a farmer. I learned all about canola, the seeds, when they are harvested and how they get the oil out of the tiny seeds. Aleina took quite a shining to me - I even got a few kisses. Made my day! :)

Another flower shot.... that can only mean one thing. I am working all day with the health region and editing wedding photos all evening. Burning candles at both ends again! Sweetheart is "out a town" so I might as well make hay while the sun shines...
Family shoot tomorrow. Yeah! That will put me at well over 3000 photos on the "to edit" list.
